Every year, Borussia Dortmund takes part in the “Day of Remembrance in German Football”, which commemorates the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp on January 27, 1945 and the victims of the Holocaust. BVB will hold the day of remembrance under the motto “#WeRemember” with various activities surrounding the game against VfL Bochum. For several years now, the DFL Foundation has been supporting the “Never Again!” initiative and the “Day of Remembrance in German Football” around January 27, the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp. All clubs in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are asked to take part in the commemoration on a match day.
