# Day of Remembrance in German Football Annually, Borussia Dortmund participates in the "Day of Remembrance in German Football," an observance dedicated to honoring the freeing of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp on January 27, 1945, and those who perished in the Holocaust. BVB will organize this commemorative occasion using the campaign "#WeRemember" and will arrange multiple events in connection with their fixture versus VfL Bochum. For the past several years, the DFL Foundation has been providing assistance to both the "Never Again!" initiative and the "Day of Remembrance in German Football," which takes place near January 27, marking the date when the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp was liberated. Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs are all encouraged to join in this commemoration during one of their match days.
