Puma has unveiled Stade Rennais's home kit for the 2026/27 season, taking inspiration from the city that surrounds the club.
The design
The shirt is built on a deep red base, the colour Rennes have worn at home for generations. What sets this version apart is a tonal pattern running across the front, sleeves, and upper back: fine linear shapes drawn from the half-timbered houses that define the historic centre of Rennes. The geometry is subtle at a distance but clearly intentional up close.
The crew neck collar carries black detailing, matched by black sleeves cuffs and side panels on the shorts. Socks complete the set in red, with white Puma branding, a white ermine symbol, and a red band near the top.
Sponsors include Samsic as the main front sponsor, hellowork above the crest, and Blot on the lower back. The club motto "#TOUTDONNER" is printed beneath the back collar.
Construction
Puma offers the shirt in two versions. The authentic cut uses ULTRAWEAVE 2.0 construction, reducing weight and improving range of movement. The replica uses dryCELL moisture-wicking technology. Both versions are made from 100% recycled material (excluding trims) through Puma's RE:FIBRE programme.
The story
The architectural pattern is a continuation of Puma's approach to rooting Rennais kits in the identity of the city rather than abstract graphics. Rennes is known for its intact medieval timber-frame buildings, and the fine linear geometry on this shirt references those facades directly. It is a local reference that travels well on a football shirt.
