Hull City 2026-27 third kit by Oxen: 1935 in royal blue and gold

Hull City and Oxen launched the third and final outfield kit of the 2026-27 season on 7 September 2026, choosing the Maritime Museum in Hull's Dock Offices as the venue. The shirt looks back to 1935-36, when the Tigers wore blue and white rather than their signature amber.

The design

Royal blue and white form the base, with gold trim running throughout. The white polo collar carries blue and gold tipping and a two-button placket. Raglan sleeves give the shirt a close shoulder fit, finishing at white cuffs with the same blue and gold trim. Both short and long sleeve versions are available.

The badge is the club's Civic Coat of Arms: three ducal coronets, fully embroidered with a gold shield outline and two-tone gold detailing on the strawberry leaves and gemmed band. It also appears on the white shorts, which feature gold-trimmed blue hem bands.

At the back, a semi-circular neck panel carries a tiger head in gold. Inside the neck, text from Shane Rhodes' poem "The City Speaks" runs along the collar tape. Blue and white hooped socks complete the look.

The story behind it

Oxen describe the kit as honouring both the city and the club's own kit history. The 1935-36 season is the anchor point, but the gold detailing and the civic crest bring in a wider civic pride that extends beyond football. As the club put it: "This kit honours not only our fine city at the confluence of the Hull and Humber, but our own club's kit history too."
