A long-sleeved shirt featuring a crew-neck collar and embroidered cloth badge, numbered No.15, displaying white, red and green coloring from the Portugal v. Northern Ireland encounter in 1973. This garment was acquired by McIlroy through an exchange arrangement following the fixture held on 28th March 1973. The subsequent lots in this collection document the professional journey of Sammy McIlroy MBE, a celebrated midfielder who represented both Manchester United and the Northern Ireland national team.
