ShirtSociety has been live for a few months now. The catalogue has grown, users have started building their collections, and the core of what we set out to build is taking shape. Here is an honest look at where things stand.
The numbers
55k+
Shirts in catalogue
1,000+
Clubs
Those numbers are a good start. The catalogue is the foundation of everything, and at 55,000+ shirts it already covers a large slice of what serious collectors own.
What you can do
For anyone who has not tried it yet, ShirtSociety lets you:
- Build your collection. Add shirts from the catalogue, upload your own photos, log size, condition, and what you paid.
- See your stats. Which clubs, brands, and eras dominate your collection. How much you have spent. How it has grown over time.
- Share and connect. Follow other collectors, comment on shirts, like what people are adding, and see what they are wearing to matches.
- Log match visits. Record the matches you attended and the shirt you wore. Your own history in one place.
- Rate and contribute. Rate kits in the catalogue, add shirts that are missing, and help keep the data accurate.
Coverage: what is in and what is next
The catalogue has solid depth across the major European leagues. England is well covered from top to bottom, including historical First Division data going back to the 1960s. Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Portugal all have good coverage, as does MLS. National team kits are in the catalogue for all major nations.
The priority right now is filling in the rest of Europe. Turkey, Poland, Ireland, and other leagues with strong shirt cultures are next in line. The goal is to make sure that wherever you follow football, your shirts have a home here.
Beyond the data, we are working through the platform itself page by page, tightening up the experience and making things faster and easier to use. Nothing dramatic, just steady improvement across the board.
This is still early
ShirtSociety is a side project, and we are honest about that. The roadmap is long and the team is small. But the catalogue is real, the community is growing, and the ambition is clear.
If something is missing, add it. If something feels wrong, tell us. The people using ShirtSociety every day are the ones shaping what it becomes.
